Project Polytope was a tech office designed at the heart of Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos. It was designed to serve as a live-in workplace for young and vibrant tech stars, comprising a workstation, conference room, podcast studio, tutorial room, relaxation lounge, mini cafeteria, and corner office. The goal was to design an office space that created greater participation, encouraged creativity, and enhanced overall employee performance. A judicious use of bright colours and murals was employed to boost staff morale and visually enforce the intangibles of the company.
Project Scope
Project Polytope was conceived as a deliberate rejection of the conventional office aesthetic. Where most workplaces default to neutrality, this space was designed to be unapologetically alive: full of colour, movement, and personality that directly reflects the energy of the company it houses.
Bright, purposeful colour was deployed not decoratively but strategically. Each zone of the office was given a distinct character to support its function: the workstation area is focused and energised; the relaxation lounge is warm and restorative; the podcast studio is bold and confident. Murals throughout reinforce the company's identity and give the space a cultural dimension that goes beyond interior decoration.
The completed office environment has transformed how the team experiences their working day. The space functions simultaneously as a professional workplace, a creative studio, and a social environment, meeting the brief for a live-in workplace with genuine conviction.
Project Polytope demonstrates that commercial interiors can carry the same design ambition and emotional intelligence as the finest residential projects.
